Industry Partners
The Magnolia Project has connected more than 350 7th-12th grade students with more than 150 local businesses, where they have completed more than 8000 hours of career exploration and apprenticeship experience. In the 2024-2025 school year, Magnolia Project will expand its reach across Northern California to include students in thirteen school districts in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties.
Our team’s work with local businesses is guided by our Industry Advisory Board – read more about them here.
“I think this type of program is very needed in our world. What if young people were mostly out in the world learning through hands-on experiences and building meaningful connections?”
Asherah Weiss, community artist and former Magnolia mentor
“[Students] get to experience things that they wouldn't normally get to experience in the classroom, but they're also engaging with what they're learning in the classroom and how it applies to the real world. We've been talking about math and physics and science and how we apply them every day here in the fire service.”
Karen Hancock, mentor, Sonoma County Fire District

The Magnolia Project is an easy, rewarding way of connecting with local youth and building a future pipeline for your workforce.
We partner with schools and districts to embed career exploration and apprenticeship pathways into the school day and year for middle and high school students – then connect those students with local businesses like yours so they can discover the passions, industries, and careers that are exciting for them.
Our team provides you not only with connections to local schools and students, but also with upfront training and ongoing support that makes it easy and rewarding for your company’s leaders and employees to act as trusted industry mentors.
